I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
